That PRC guy was at fault by creating a flaming thread HOWEVER, the response given by us Singaporeans may have just proved his point.

1. Hey give that guy some credits. Most of our forefathers ARE from China.

2. I guess most people don’t believe in blood lines and surnames anymore, otherwise they would not be making comments like “My forefather from China, but I’m not from China”. Which is true, but your heritage is afterall from China.

3. People telling the China man to type/speak better English. … scroll down the pages and you will see 10 times as many Singaporeans that cannot spell or type at all. I had to squint to read some of the responses.

4. Us Chinese did take over Singapore. Infact, we’re slowly taking over majority of Asia. Just look at the richest people in the world… many of them Chinese.

This one is the best. I had to read this post 3 times before I can comprehend his point.
I’m not sure what he meant by “marcu oready cannot control” Was he referring to Macau? Does he know that Taiwan was originally part of China and Taiwan want its own independence (Although my stand is to let Taiwan gain its own independence). I assume the writer is not of Chinese descent because he just claimed that all Chinese (Singaporean Chinese included) have barbaric cultures…

I hope my readers understand where I am coming from when I write this post. I am not supporting the PRC person, but I am trying to bring up the point whereby Singaporeans turn really ugly and shoot insults at other people. It is apparent that Singaporeans do not want to acknowledge their Chinese ancestry and even feel disgusted to be associated with being Chinese. I must admit that the culture in China and Singapore is vastly different, but Singapore started off as a humble dog-eating, road-spitting, old women-cheating country as well. It it all thanks to our government - Lee Kwan Yee - for shaping our culture and society to what it is today. So anyone that want to insult PRCs and are Singaporean Chinese must first give thanks to PAP.
