Christmas is a time of loving and giving! Merry Christmas my dearest Empress!
I know you’re still busy doing your Christmas shopping, not time for me at all… =(
Well, I’ve bought my Empress a surprise Christmas present, I hope she’ll like it cause it cost me a fortune!
I wonder what did my buddy’s boyfriend got for her. Hmmm… I guess probably something very expensive too. Girls always say it’s not the present, it’s the heart that counts. Seriously, if you receive a gift bought from $1.99 shop compared to another gift.. let’s say a Playstation Portable.. HONESTLY, who seems to love you more? Obviously the person that bought the PSP for you loves you more right? I hope none of you received $1.99 presents!
Merry Christmas all.
Have you seen Orchard Road’s Christmas decorations yet? Every year Singapore will decorate the tourist attractions very colourful.. I think the decorations were up since November and it usually last till January (otherwise very waste money I guess?).
The other day I was talking to my gaming friend from USA that works at a theme park, and he told me he felt very weird dressed up as an elf in the theme park. I asked him why, and he said ‘have you ever seen a dark skin elf?’. LOL!! He’s not black, but he’s Hispanic so he’s still considered dark skinned I guess.
So I told him.. “Well in Singapore, you get yellow skin Santa Claus and Santarina!” Seriously, I’ve never thought about the ethnicity of Santa Claus until now… and it’s pretty darn funny. I hope I didn’t spoil anyone’s Christmas by pointing that out!
Edit: I wanted to post the picture of my friend in the elf suit but I lost the picture when I reformatted my computer!!
I know I’ve been complaining about this a lot during my last entries. But goodness. I can’t believe she posted those photos in her blog. I think it’s been a month now, if I’m not mistaken.
She actually posted photos of her kissing her ‘prince’. Oh well. I guess there’s not much that can be done about this. Just let her be. I bet people would be talking about it for at least a couple of days.
Hohumn… I better go back to sleep. I really can not be bothered. Still have things to do before my obligations really end. Pity I can’t just blog everyday like some people I know.
I was reading up on stress management and I found some tips from wikipedia
Certain relaxation techniques known as “formal and passive relaxation exercises” are generally performed while sitting or lying quietly, with minimal movement and involve “a degree of withdrawal”. These include Autogenic training, Biofeedback, Deep breathing, Meditation, Progressive Muscle Relaxation, Pranayama, and Visualization.
Movement-based relaxation methods incorporate Exercise such as walking, gardening, yoga, Tai chi, Qigong, and more. Some forms of bodywork are helpful in promoting a state of increased relaxation. Examples include massage, acupuncture, the Feldenkrais method and Reflexology.
Seems like the best way for me to manage stress is to…. sleep! haha Lying down quietly with minimal movement!
I heard from some of my friends that go Batam for massage is very affordable (SG$20 for half an hour). NO, it’s not the RA kind of massage! Oh well, I should ask Empress if she wants to go on a trip with me to Batam. Probably going to tell her that Batam a lot of cheap shopping and she’ll be more than willing to go with me.
Sometimes work and study and relationships can be very stressful… Especially in Singapore where everything is so competitive (Yes, even in relationships!).
I’ve been sick lately because I was over-stressed by various things and the doctor actually prescribed vitamins for me!
Quote from http://www.timethoughts.com/stress/stress-vitamins.htm
The most important anti-stress nutrient is vitamin C. Stress depletes our vitamin C supply very quickly, which weakens our ability to fight off disease. In addition, adequate amounts of vitamin C seem to make us bounce back from stressful situations more easily.

Minerals such as sodium and potassium also help to relieve stress. These minerals are required by every cell in the human body and without them cells don’t function as effectively as they should. The overall effect is that the body in general feels weak while the brain stops all nonessential thought processes. This can lead to loss of concentration and confusion which ultimately will end up as a feeling of stress.
So if you guys ever feel stress, please go to the nearest pharmacy or GNC and ask them to recommend some vitamins to aid your body in dealing with stress.
KFC told me they ran out of chicken. (KFC at Marina Square)
My jaws nearly dropped.
KFC RUNS OUT OF CHICKEN? Then just close the damn shop down, people go to KFC to buy chicken!!!
I can’t believe these people….
You know maids are paid quite pathetic amount of money in Singapore. Roughly SGD$300 a month. The employer have to pay taxes to the government, which is another SG$300 a month!
I think it’s quite sad that you have to work overseas, not see your family, work 24/7 looking after kids, cooking, laundry and all kind of weird chores and all for only SG$300 a month! Even if you work as a waitor/waitress in Singapore you can easily get $1200 a month. I guess we should all feel lucky that we were born in better place.
People like to complain about the government a lot, but look at how far we have come! I can’t imagine living with only SG$300 a month….
